How should I dress for a legal mediation?
I will be participating in a legal mediation with an injured family member. The plaintiffs, a private transport company, and another injured plaintiff will be meeting to mediate a settlement. Our attorney has described the community as "conservative" both in lifestyles and judgements. Between you and I, we'd prefer not to go to court. Jacket and tie? Or, suit and tie?

- I would run with "business casual". Appear well dressed and respectful, but no need to go the suit and tie point. After all you are not the attorney.
- o.o Oooh, tough choice. Suit & Tie, yet you have to look a bit laid back too, so make sure it isn't something you'd wear to your sister's wedding or something. a business suit is better.
- Jacket and tie. A dress in an understated style. Toss the plaid jackets. A blue or black suit with a white shirt projects a positive impression of person who is not attention seeking and sincere. That goes for your lawyers, as well!!!
- for mediation, business casual....khaki's and a nice shirt. Trial on the other hand, suit n tie.
